During the Svalbard field campaign, the MISO team carried out additional communication tests to support autonomous GHG monitoring in Arctic conditions.

- End-to-end data transmission was successfully tested: the drone-based hotspot collected greenhouse gas measurements from static devices in remote areas.
- LoRa technology was used for low-energy, long-range communication.
- Wi-Fi was used for faster data transfer and model updates.
- As a backup, data were also transmitted via 4G directly to the cloud for comparison.

- The communication antenna should be installed on the bottom of the drone for better performance.
- The power supply to the LoRa units on the drone must be properly secured during the entire procedure.
